The conference took place digitally on the 14th of October 2020 and examined the wider impact blockchain technology could have on the economy and society.

As SMEs are the backbone of the EU economy, the discussion focused on making sure that SMEs and the European economy as a whole will be able to benefit from blockchain technology by keeping it open to SMEs and ensuring that basic blockchain infrastructure will be suitable for small companies.
